The New Oud has been designed after very long practices
and studies.The pattern of the instrument has a " guitar-like"
shape and this shape enables some several comforts to the player.
The sound of instrument is more "bass-stressed" and clean.

This instrument was invented by Suleymen Suat Sezgin in Eskisehir
- Turkey in the 1930s, though there is another similar instrument
called Cumbus.
It's intended to have a playing technique much like the ud, the
fretless lute of the Middle East, but with a banjo like head and
a large spun-aluminium resonator.
