Dr. Cengiz Sarikus
Dr. Cengiz Sarikus was born in Malatya,Turkey in 1946 He attended and graduated from the History of Art Education Department of the Istanbul University , He joined the government and served as teacher of the History of Art for 26 years in several
high-schools. Sarikus began his musical education as a 13 year old young lad on the baglama, a rural folk instrument.

The design of this oud has been founded after very long practices and studies.The pattern of the instrument has a " guitar-like" shape and this shape enables some several comforts to the player.

The sound of instrument is more "bass-stressed" and clean.
